Ninety minutes without a connection. Nobody at the counter has to know.

  1. 21:04

    The line drops

Nothing on screen changes. The register already holds the catalogue, the prices and every open tab on the device itself.

  2. 21:04 — 22:31

    You keep selling

Tabs, splits, discounts and refunds all still work. Each sale is written to a local queue with the time it was actually taken.

  3. 22:31

    The line comes back

Syncing starts on its own. Nobody has to remember to press anything, and nobody re-keys the last ninety minutes at midnight.

  4. 22:33

    Everything lands in order

Sales replay in the sequence they were taken, so stock, the ledger and the shift total agree with what is in the drawer.

At the counter

The awkward sales, handled

The things that turn a two-minute sale into a ten-minute one: split bills, a returned bottle, a staff discount.

Tabs and holds
Run a tab per table, hold an order mid-sale, and pick it up again on any register in the location.
Split payments
Card, cash and account across a single sale, in any combination, down to the individual line.
Discounts and overrides
By percentage or amount, per line or per sale, with an override that needs the permission to match.
Refunds and exchanges
Taken against the original sale, so the stock goes back where it came from and the margin corrects itself.
Customer accounts
Sell on account, take a deposit, and read the whole purchase history without leaving the counter.
Tax at the line
Worked out per line for the country you trade in, so the receipt and the report never disagree.

The drawer reconciles

A register belongs to a shift and a shift belongs to a person, from the float going in to the count coming out.

  1. Open

    17:02 · Tobi K.

The float is counted in and the register is tied to a person for the whole shift.

  2. During

    18 sales

Every void, discount and no-sale carries the name of whoever put it through.

  3. Close

    23:58

The drawer is counted against what the till says it took, by payment method.

  4. After

    variance recorded

A shortfall is written to the shift rather than absorbed, and reads as a pattern across weeks.

One sale, four places

Nothing is exported overnight and nothing is keyed in twice. The till writes to the same ledger everything else reads from.
